"I read Shh Don’t Tell on a flight home and really enjoyed Joy’s writing. She has a very powerful message to share that will give women and men the courage to tell their difficult stories which can ultimately help them heal. Joy has definitely found her calling!"

"Shh Don’t Tell sheds light on the dark secrets kept by those affected by childhood sexual abuse. Through the eyes of the victims, Riley details the pain, confusion, shame, and long term effects experienced by three survivors as they learn to cope with personal loses and identity struggles on the journey to self-discovery and healing. Shh Don’t Tell provides readers with insight into the cycle of abuse and offers encouragement for those that learned far too early that real monsters aren’t hiding in the closet- rather they sleep across the hall and babysit when guardians are working. This is a great read for anyone looking for an explanation of what a victim believes, why silence is often maintained, and how the cycle can be broken."

Brandy Hill, Master of Forensic Psychology, Washington, DC

“Having the opportunity to hear Joy T.J. Riley as our keynote speaker proved to be an incredible wake-up call for our Head Start staff.  Joy’s message echoed an emotional appeal of hope and encouragement reminding us that the power and courage to recover from traumatic events exists in each and every one of us. Articulating her personal journey of faith and healing and the advocacy work that she does on behalf of survivors of child sexual abuse was both compelling and impactful.  Deep appreciation for having the opportunity to work with a colleague and friend who exemplifies the true gift of surviving and thriving!”

"Joy T.J. Riley was certainly a Joy and a breath of fresh air to our students of the Camp Fit program. She delivered a powerful workshop  titled "Your Dreams May be the Key to Your Purpose" and really had the kids engaged  and attentive. There was also very good feed back from the participating students stating that some of the exercises really made them think about some future decisions. Truly a blessing and we look forward to having Joy back soon!"

"When I first met this wonderful spirit, I guess about three years ago, I knew she was special. It was during a business meeting that Joy shared with me both, her testimony and how God had used her to write this book. The book is a wonderful tool. I read the book and was amazed at how clear and absolute the book was about the Word and things of God. I liked the no non-sense matter of fact way that Joy used in her devotional to deliver the word of God. I wanted to share the book with others. So when I asked Joy to be a Guest Speaker for Our Women's fellowship she honored the Women of (SCOM ) Shechem Covenant Outreach Ministries. Ms. Joy showed up and showed out. Joy came and delivered to our Women an unforgettable Women's Fellowship. I thank God for her. This awesome woman of God didn't stop there, she then started sending me a daily devotional that I have grown to look forward to. Well I do thank God for Sister Joy finding and answering the call. I can't even remember what life was like without my devotionals. To God be the glory for what he has done in her life. I use Joy's devotional even now to encourage many of my sisters and friends. Just when I thought she couldn't do any more, she then wrote the second book. I got the book and read it until I was finished. Joy has gone from being a tool, to being the secret weapon that God will use to guide, to teach, and to help tear down the silence that keeps people from detecting, and speaking out about Child Sexual Abuse. It is an honor and a true joy to know this woman of God. I thank Joy for allowing herself to be transparent in the fight against the evil that consumes us all. I'm grateful to God that she is a true Soldier in the army of the Lord. Joy is truely a Joy and the light God has allowed to shine in dark places. I thank you for sharing your Ministry, your gift and your life with all of us."
